Atmosphere opens at the Science Museum in London

Atmosphere: exploring climate science’, the Science Museum's new Wellcome Wing gallery, opens to visitors this weekend. Our 15-month long design process has had to deal with three separate media furore kicked up by climate change deniers that changed public opinion on the subject. But we got there in the end. Our interpretation graphics, art direction (of over 15 digital interactive exhibits), audio-visual media design and giant graphic projections covering floor and ceiling provide the gallery with its visual identity. However, this is much more than an identity. Its a visual language that presents the likely effect on the planet if the aggregated consequences of visitor decisions made whilst engaging with the interactives on-gallery were the cause. The aim: to create an environment that allows people to make up their own minds about climate change by presenting them with the scientific evidence.
